Minutes:

I. Meeting called to order by Dickie Martin, SCGS President

II. Count of Members Present to Establish a Quorum (26 Members Present)

III. Elections (all positions uncontested – majority vote approval)

a. Secretary – Debbie Wilson

b. Membership – Joanne Crouch

c. Historian – Betty Bloome

d. Newsletter Editor – Cass Meinardi

IV. Motion made to approve By-Laws

a. Motion carried

V. Orangeburg Show

Last year, SCGS members participated gourd division of the Woodworkers show at the Orangburg Fair in Orangeburg, SC. The fair committee was so impress by the quality and quanity of gourds entered that they have invited the SCGS to have it’s own show and sale at the fair September 29^th – October 5^th. The fair will sponsor the event providing us with ribbons and prizes. We will have to have our own staff and judges. Joanne will meet with fair officials to get more information on Monday, April 21, 2008. Look for more information soon and be thinking about how you can help with the show.

VI. Dues are due at this time. Annual renewal is $12. Please send your membership payments to:
